What were your favourites?
eLzhi - “It Ain’t Hard To Tell” (Internet, 2011)
So. Good.
Will Sessions on the production/instrumentation. If you haven’t downloaded ELmatic yet, do yourself a favor.
Elzhi - “Detroit State of Mind” (Internet, 2011)
*DEAD*
Elzhi’s releasing ELmatic in May, basically flipping Illmatic into a Detroit opus. 99% of these types of re-make projects are terrible. I already know that this is that 1%. I’ve documented my Elzhi Stan-dom in the past, but listen to how hungry he is on this. Plus, it’s got appearances by Pete Rock, Amp Fiddler (!!), Guilty Simpson, and Will Sessions re-creating the beats with live instruments.
Black Milk ft. Royce da 5’9” & Elzhi - “Deadly Medley”
No chorus. No need. AIRHORN, yo.
Album of the Year drops September 14.
Black Milk & Bishop Lamont - “Goatit” ft. Phat Kat & Elzhi
Caltroit is still that good.
Too many rappers be rapping when really they need to be fans…
eLZhi “The Leftovers Unmixedtape”
Elzhi > Your Favorite Rapper
The Leftovers UnMixedtape is a collection of Elzhi features and other unreleased joints with production by Jake One, Black Milk, Oh No, DJ Spinna, and DJ Dez, among others.

Harmonic 313 ft. Phat Kat & Elzhi - Battlestar (Remix)
Whoa. Crazy flashing, seizure-inducing video for the Mark Pritchard remix of the lead track off his own Harmonic 313 project. The track features two of 313’s finest MC’s, Phat Kat and Elzhi and somehow this remix is even nastier than the original.
Do yourself a favor and cop When Machines Exceed Human Intelligence if you haven’t already. The “Battlestar” 12” drops on June 15 on Warp Records.
Vstylez ft. Royce Da 5’9”, Big Pooh, Elzhi, & Phat Kat - “Clash of the Titans”
Holy eff.

BRWN LBL Radio - One Point In Space In Time (mixed by DJ Brown Shoes)
Back like I never left. Here’s the latest installment of BRWN LBL Radio, mixed by DJ Brown Shoes (who, by the way, is now on Muxtape). Featuring the likes of Mayer Hawthorne, Elzhi, and Paul White, this one goes in heavy on the Bullion and Flying Lotus. With some House Shoes and Waajeed instrumentals mixed in, you simply can’t go wrong. Trust me. Partake:
House Shoes - Castles
The Detroit Experiment - Think Twice
Simian - The Wisp
Flyamsam - Don’t Like The Trees
Flying Lotus & Blu - GNG BNG (Remix)
Vandalyzm - Get Dough
Jaylib - Starz
Bullion - Are You The One
DJ Mitsu & Elzhi - Elzhi
Bullion - Young Heartache
Niego Bags - Instrumental*
Waajeed - Tetris
Paul White - Time Wars
U.N.K.L.E. - Celestial Annihilation
The Beta Band - Squares
Mayer Hawthorne - Maybe So, Maybe No
J Dilla & Supa Dave West - No One Knows
Erykah Badu - Soldier
