Daphni - “Ahora” (Kompakt, 2011)
It sounds like Daphni (né Caribou) and Four Tet have teamed up in their sound directions. The thing that strikes me the most is the use of understated organic-sounding percussion, sometimes with synthetic drums on top, sometimes not. “Ahora” and “Pinnacles” are aural siblings and they’re both total jams.
